Welcome to Motorsports Ministries

Motorsports Ministries is an organization conceived, developed, and operated to provide for the spiritual and emotional needs of the people involved in professional and amateur automobile racing. The ministry strives to bring balance and perspective, providing ministry and encouragement to the whole person. The ministry endeavors to influence the unchurched as well as those with a Christian commitment. Recognizing that life, like racing, is composed of multi dimensional experiences; Motorsports Ministries attempts to encourage individuals to understand the essence of life from a Christian viewpoint.

Update from President, Terry Borcheller

Thank you to all of you that support Motorsports Ministries with your time, money, & prayers!

I have a tendency to get wrapped up in the moment of ministry & can easily be distracted with “doing good” before quite a bit of time has passed. Please know we at MM are busy, but never forgetful of how we’re able to remain at work. God provides, & He does it through all of YOU! You have been a major part of a winning team. 2017 saw great opportunities for ministry throughout the IMSA Weathertech & Continental Challenge paddocks. We also have had multiple opportunities to share the good news of the gospel in most of the support series’ that are represented on an IMSA weekend.

For 2018, I will be at the Roar, where I’ll be ministering with my good friend & co chaplain Steve Kearney. MM once again will provide a chaplain & all elements of MM to all of IMSA for the year. We’ll have all hands on deck for the 56th running of the Rolex24. All chaplain’s (Myself, Steve Kearney, Steve Geitgey, & Dale Sankey) all plan to be at Daytona at the end of January. We’ll also have our 11th year of bringing the boys from Teen Challenge of Vero Beach to the big race. Year after year this has been an incredible opportunity to be just one of the building blocks in these young men’s lives as they go through what proves to be a very difficult, yet rewarding time in most of their lives. We will also continue to do selected events w/Teen Challenges around the country at selected events thru the year. This specific element of our ministry wouldn't be possible without the support of IMSA, the specific tracks, Marion’s catering, & all of you.

Motorsports Ministries will also fully support the 2018 Pirelli World Challenge series with all elements of our ministry. This is an exciting opportunity that God seems to be opening the door wide for ministry. As the president of Motorsports Ministries, this is particularly exciting for me becaause I’ll be ministering in the two arena’s where I’ve spent the majority of my 27 year professional racing career. I will team with the other chaplains to make all of the travel doable. Primarily it will be Steve Geitgey & I sharing the responsibilities of the PWC events with Steve Kearney on board for at least the St. Pete weekend.

There are several other exciting things we are planning for the upcoming season, so please continue to pray, support us financially when your able, & tell others about what you know about MM!

By nature of our racing communities - “I got this”- we sometimes don’t hear about situations or needs until after the fact. We want everyone to know we are there, & the reason we are there is to help in any way we can. I don’t think it’s enough to share the gospel, I think it’s all about living the gospel. That’s what our world, our community, & we all need. Hope, love, & faith.

I’d like to finish the way I started, thank you, thank you, thank you! So many of you give so selflessly to see a ministry like ours touch the racing community. You are each an extension of God’s heart & hands with your participation with us.

I wanted to leave each of you with a word of encouragement as we dive into the New Year together.

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship (masterpiece) created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Philippians 1:6 “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect (bring to maturity) it until the day of Christ Jesus. “

Thank you again,

Terry Borcheller
